IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward C.
Stoll
July 25, 1935 – July 8, 2022
Edward C. Stoll, age 86, of Stratford, beloved husband of Linda Perrelli Stoll, passed away on July 8, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital.
Ed was born in New Haven on July 25, 1935, to the late Jacob and Helen (Evans) Stoll and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Textron. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 57 years, include his devoted children, Anthony Stoll and his wife Bonnie of Seymour, Michael Stoll and his wife Pamela of Shelton, and Mary Beth Rayho and her husband Frank of Stratford, 8 cherished grandchildren, Brianna Stoll, Nicole Stoll (Bob), David Stoll, Matthew Stoll (Natalia), Stephanie Stoll, and Joseph, Nicholas, and Frank Rayho, great-granddaughter, Maci Mae, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ed was pre-deceased by his brother, Phillip Stoll, and his sister, Agnes Brown.
Edward was a devoted and loving Father and Grandfather, never missing a sporting event or a dance recital (even when it interfered with the Kentucky Derby). He had a passion for gardening, driving just to sight see and reminisce, horse racing at all of his favorite tracks especially Belmont Park & Aquaduct in his earlier years and later Scarborough Downs in Old Orchard Beach Maine. His family always came first including taking on a major role after his retirement, caring for his precious grandchildren. Every day he would be waiting for the grand kids to be dropped off so he could start the adventures of teaching them how to swim, chasing them around to get them to eat, watching all of the television shows they wanted to watch, walks in the wagon and trips to Old Savin Rock to name only a few.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Peter Towsley on July 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road Lordship.
All other services and interment will be private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in memory of Edward to Our Lady of Peace, Project Precious Rescue or a charity of your choice.
