Edward F. Mulligan, age 76, of The Villages, Florida and Beacon Falls, CT, the beloved husband of Irene Piatak Mulligan, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in Florida. Ed was born in New Haven on August 5, 1942, to the late Terence and Elizabeth (Halloway) Mulligan and had been a longtime Trumbull resident prior to moving to The Villages 17 years ago. Ed was the retired proprietor of Magna Steel Sales in Bridgeport. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 53 years, include his daughters, Patricia Mavlouganes and her husband James of Bethany and Karen Prezioso and her husband Christopher of Southbury, a sister, Kathleen Mulligan of Colrain, MA., several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Richard and a sister Susan. Ed was a member of the St. John's choir. He loved his grand dogs, playing cards, golf, pickleball, cycling and shopping at Costco. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday December 12 ^th at 9:15AM in the Adzima Funeral Home50 Paradise Green PlaceStratford and at 10:00AM in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church Trumbull for the celebration of a Divine Liturgy. Interment will be in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7PM. Panachida will be at 4PM.
