Edward R. McQuillan, age 62, of San Diego California, formerly of Stratford, passed away on September 2, 2023.

Eddie was born in Bridgeport on May 20, 1961, to the late Robert and Judith McQuillan and had been a long-time area resident, prior to moving to San Diego for work. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1979 and he was an Engineering graduate of the University of Connecticut, class of 1984. He was able to indulge his love of traveling working as a chief engineer at Safran Power Units headquartered in France. He competed in Iron Man triathlons, and he loved his trips to Paris, Egypt, Iceland, Prague, Austria, Rome, and many more places around the world.

Survivors include his brothers, Kevin McQuillan and his wife Linda of Milford, and Michael McQuillan and his wife Carol of Virginia, 4 cherished nieces, Abigail, Riley, Caileigh, and Lillian, and beloved cousin Nancy Peterson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 7th at10 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Peace Church in Lordship. Interment will be immediately following at St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
