Edward J. Barry, age 77, of Orange, formerly of Stratford, beloved husband of Beverly MacEachran Barry, passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2012 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Barry, a retired Electrician for the U.S. Baird Corp. was born in Bridgeport to the late Daniel J. and Edith (McGuines) Barry and has been a life long area resident. Edward lived a full life, devoted to his wife and family. He always kept his sense of humor regardless of what challenges he faced. He was a skilled master electrician who's dedication to his craft was reflected in his 35 years of service at U.S. Baird Corp. He also volunteered his time and talents at Our Lady of Grace Parish in many activities including the Cabaret Theatre and Bingo. He found great joy in his role as "Papa" to his beloved grandson Aidan. Ed was an outstanding example of what it truly means to be a husband, father, grand-father, brother, son, caregiver and friend. His genuine humor and charismatic ways brought light into everyone's lives. He will be greatly missed by all those who's lives he touched, He will never be forgotten. We love you Daddy. In addition to his beloved wife, survivors include his devoted children Scott Barry and his wife Tami of Stratford, Dana E. Huminski and her husband Scott of AZ, and Beth An Grimes and her husband Andrew of NC, his cherished grandson Aidan J. Barry, 3 brothers Robert Barry of NC, William Barry, and Dennis Barry both of CT, 5 sisters Peg Moran, Joan Hammil, Patricia D'Ausilio, Kathleen Carbone, and Carol Fern, all of CT, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday May 30th at 11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, with Rev. Reginald Norman officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Stratford.
