Edna C. Altieri Riccio, age 94 of Bridgeport and Del Ray Beach, Florida passed away on Monday October 22, 2007 in St. Vincent's Medical Center Bridgeport. Mrs. Riccio, a homemaker was born in Bridgeport to the late Joseph and Josephine Altieri and graduated from Harding High School and Bridgeport Normal School. She was a soloist and substitute teacher at St. Charles Church in Bridgeport for over thirty-five years. She took great pride in singing at countless weddings and other Masses at St. Charles and also found a joy in playing the piano. She was a former member of Mill River Country Club and was past-president of the Bellermine Guild at Fairfield Prep, and was the widow of John Riccio. Survivors include her beloved son Attorney Frank J. Riccio and his wife Lorraine of Stratford 2 cherished grandchildren Attorney Frank J. Riccio II and his wife Judy Ann of Trumbull and Carla R. Pelliccio and her husband Jeffrey of Northford, a great-grandson Ryan Stephen Riccio and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother Frederick J. Altieri. Funeral services will take place on Thursday October 25, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery Stratford.
