Dorothy Pilgoste (Bopko), age 92, of Stratford CT, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on November 24, 2022, the day of her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving.  Born in Bridgeport on August 28, 1930 to the late Michael and Anna (Gerrzanich) Bopko, she was a lifelong resident of the Stratford/ Bridgeport area.  Dorothy was very strong in her faith and a lifelong member of  her St. John's church community.  She was the loving wife of the late Gabriel Pilgoste to whom she was married for 43 years. Dorothy worked for many years at Magazine Shippers in Milford, CT before retiring.  She enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, UConn Basketball, and game shows, but most of all she enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends.  Dorothy is survived by her three children, Michael Pilgoste,  Nancy Piccirrillo (Daniel), and Mary Ellen Trigonis and her grandchildren, Neil Piccirillo, Adam Piccirillo (Alyssa), Tara Trigonis,  James Trigonis , and Michelle Pilgoste, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her 12 siblings. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, November 29th  from 9:00.- 10:30 am. at Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, CT.. A Requiem Funeral Service will follow at 11 am. in the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, 364 Mill Hill Ave, Bridgeport, CT. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
