Dorothy M. Claus, age 94, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Frank Claus, passed away peacefully in her home on March 26, 2026. Dorothy was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on June 15, 1931, to the late Margaret (Farrell) Ebert and has been a longtime area resident. Retired from Remington Products and the Bridgeport Board of Education Cafeteria.

Survivors include her devoted children, Frank Claus and his wife Peggy, Thomas Claus and his wife Sue, and Debra Henning and her husband Mike. 9 Grandchildren; Amanda Henning (fiancé Vin Testani), Michael Henning (wife Catie), Lindsay Claus, Lowell Claus, Tiffany Claus & Carlos Goncalves, Justin Claus, Carlee Claus & Raf Jaworski, Allison Rodrigues (Husband Phil) & Emily Claus.

Great-grandchildren: Gloriana Claus, Brooklyn & Travis Burgos, Mackenzie & Michael Henning, Landon, Hudson & Mason Jaworski, Camila & CJ Cristante. YaYa to Nicole Cuevas and Baltazar & Briella Fidalgo. And several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved husband and mother, Dorothy was pre-deceased by her long-time companion Alexander Bondaruk, granddaughter Danielle Claus, grandson, Jason Claus, brother, Tom Ebert, and sister, Margaret Shup.

Visitation on Wednesday April 8th from 8:30-10:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road Fairfield. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
