Dorothy M. Voynick Carroll, age 73, of Stratford, beloved wife of Charles Carroll, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in her home, with her family by her side. Dorothy, a former secretary for Sikorsky Aircraft was born in Bridgeport to the late Emmanuel and Mary (Ellias) Voynick and has been a life long area resident. Survivors in addition to her beloved husband of 50 years, include her devoted children, Michael Carroll and his wife Rachel, and their children Samantha, Diana, Hallie and Nora; Thomas Carroll and his wife Heather, and their children Lucy and Jane; and Kelly Palazzo and her husband Jay, and their children Liam, Riley and Brendan. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dottie was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She worked tirelessly as a secretary for Carroll Builders and played a vital role in its success and longevity. Dottie loved entertaining and took great pride in her home. She hosted countless holidays, events, and gatherings to which all were warmly welcomed. Dottie and Chuck enjoyed traveling near and far in their many trips. Together, they traveled to more than 25 different countries, numerous islands, and many states. Most recently, she enjoyed frequent trips to the casino and always looked forward to spending time in the summer with her husband, children, and grandchildren at their lake house, affectionately called the "Bunkbed House," in upstate Connecticut.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 7th at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Interment will be private. Friends may greet Dorothy's family on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
