Doris M. Barbuschak, age 96, of Shelton, the beloved wife of 70 years to John Barbuschak Jr., passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 in her home. Born in Stockholm, Maine on March 13, 1928 the youngest of 12 children, to the late Simon and Amanda (Manson) Oberg, she has been a lifetime area resident.

Survivors in addition to husband are her son, John S. Barbuschak and his wife Grace of Waterbury, daughters, Donna Goetz and her husband Jim of New Baden, IL, Joan Allen and her husband Paul and Maryann Cassidy and her husband John all of The Villages, FL, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday, July 25th for 9:30-11:00 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am St. Lawrence Church Shelton. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford.
