Doreen Houghtalin Dumont, long time resident of Norwalk, currently living in Stratford, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends. Having dedicated her life to children, Doreen owned and operated a home daycare for many years before she moved on to teach at the New Canaan YMCA where she retired after 25 years. During her retirement she enjoyed going to tag sales and lying in the sun. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Dolores Kuban and her brother, Albert Kuban Jr. Survivors include her beloved daughters; Denise M. McNamara, Deborah A. Switser, Darlene L. McDonald, and her goddaughter, Janice McNamara. She is also survived by siblings; David Kuban of Norwalk, Janet Terrusa of Palm Coast, FL, and Lois Santariga of Michigan, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
