Donald L. Peters Sr. age 75 of Monroe, passed away on Sunday June 3, 2007 in St. Vincent's Medical Center Bridgeport. Mr. Peters, a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 101st Airborne Division, was born in Bridgeport to the late Frank and Selma Hesse Peters and has been a life long area resident. He was a retired supply clerk for Raybestos and was a member of the N.R.A., VFW-Monroe, Fire-Police Monroe and was an avid outdoor sportsman and a five-year cancer survivor. Survivors include his wife Esther Blaskey, his beloved sons Donald L. Peters Jr and Joseph Peters both of Monroe, 3 brothers Robert F. Peters of Milford, Frank Peters and William Peters both of Stratford a sister Selma Vincent of Shelton and several nieces and nephews and his dear friends Malcolm and Donna Bell, Joseph Colandro, Bob Jacobs and Ed Parnegian. Funeral services will take place on Thursday June 7th at 10 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Rev. Dan Kennelly officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in St. Michael's Cemetery Stratford.
