– Dominick A. D'Amato, age 86 of Stratford passed away on Monday June 11, 2007 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. D'Amato, a U.S. Army Veteran of WW # II was born in Bridgeport to the late George and Lucia (Salce) D'Amato and has been a life long area resident. He was a retired carpenter for Union Local # 210 and was a member of the Baldwin Center Men's Club and was an avid Bocce and Pinochle player. Survivors include his beloved wife Ivadean White D'Amato, his devoted children Janice D'Amato and Ronald D'Amato both of Stratford and Dominick D'Amato of Shelton a granddaughter Stephanie D'Amato of Shelton, a sister Vera Kopchik and her husband Peter of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by 2 brothers Vito and John. Funeral services will take place on Thursday June 14th at 10:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
