Della Spetrino Christiansen age 81 of Stratford passed away on Monday September 5, 2005 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Christiansen, a retired electrical inspector for Sikorsky Aircraft, was born in Bridgeport to the late Carlos and Florinda Spetrino and has been a life long area resident. She was a member of the Baldwin Center, Derby and Shelton Senior Centers, Sikorsky Retires Friendship Club, Teamster Local # 1150 Retirees and the T.O.P.S. Organization of Stratford. She was the widow of Herbert Christiansen. Survivors include her beloved son David Christiansen of Stratford, her sister Tess Errico and her husband Tony of Simpsonville, SC, several nieces and nephews, and a special friend Jane Nading. She was pre-deceased by 3 brothers Louis, Fred and Charles Spetrino. Funeral services will take place on Friday September 9th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in her memory to Hospice Care at Bridgeport Hospital.
