After a long and courageous battle with cancer, David Warren Sampson of Shelton, age 42, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 17, 2010 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT. David graduated from Masuk High School in Monroe in 1985 and attended Central Connecticut State University and IMTI. He was employed by Forger-Kunkel Plumbing & Heating in Fairfield until he founded JDT Plumbing & Heating in Shelton. He was a member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Trumbull. David enjoyed helping others and sharing life and his faith with friends & acquaintances. He will be sadly missed by his family, his church and the many childhood friends all of whom remained close throughout the years. David is survived by his beloved wife Mary Sampson, and their three sons Joshua, Daniel, and Timothy. In addition to his wife and sons, he is survived by his mother Gail S. Pacenti and his stepfather Frank J. Pacenti of Monroe, his father, Elliot R. Sampson of Concord, New Hampshire, his half-brother Judd Sampson, his step sisters Jody Warren, Pamela Danka and Allison Fuller, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. David was predeceased by his stepbrother Frank P. Pacenti and his grandparents Ruth and Warren Davenport. A memorial service for David will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:30am at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Rd, Trumbull. After the service, a fellowship meal is planned at the church and all are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers those desiriing may make donations to the "David Warren Sampson Family Trust" and mailed to Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611.
