Obituary

David Matthew Bohn, age 58, of Naugatuck, passed away on June 22, 2025, from an anaphylaxis reaction. David was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on August 11,1966, to Anita Bohn and the late Robert Bohn.

He was the beloved husband of Alison (Viets) Bohn for 17 wonderful years. David is survived by his wife, Alison, his mother Anita Bohn, sister, Suzanne Normandin of Stratford, brother, Robert Bohn and wife Jill of Trumbull, In-laws, John and Dorothy Viets of South Carolina and sister-in-law Ann Holm and her husband Michael of Colorado. He is predeceased by his father Robert "Bob" Bohn and his brother-in-law Gary Normandin. David also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews.

David took immense pride in caring and living alongside his wife Allison for the past 17 years. He loved his four legged "kids" Duncan, Ginger, Reba, Charlie and his boy, Tobi, and took great care of them, watching them grow and teaching them commands. David was a true animal lover giving homes to a host of other animals and reptiles. David was a fantastic husband, son, brother and uncle and was always there with a smile and willing to give a helping hand. He was very supportive of his wife's nursing career and her love of horses. David loved the outdoors, sitting by the fire pit, and firing up his smoker for a long day of cooking. David was a great cook and a bit of a moonshiner. He loved sharing recipes, mastering the grill and even creating his own wine and mead, always excited to share with everyone.

He loved being around family and joking around with his nieces and nephews and their children. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, biking and country line dancing. He loved listening to his country music and would always have a pair of cowboy boots and a hat. David was a true light to our family and will be greatly missed.
