Obituary

Daniel John "Duke" Angeski, died suddenly on May 6, 2024, at his home in Stratford, Connecticut. He was born in Bridgeport on April 26, 1970. He was predeceased by his parents, "Jack and Ree" Angeski, a sister Susan Lee Lewis and his brother James Matthew Angeski. Dan is survived by his daughter, Bailey Angeski; his sisters: Beth McCormick (Edward); Linda Bass (Spencer); and Carolyn Kyzer (George); several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Daniel Lewis; and Dan's aunt Betty Baronowski and Harry Paoletti.

Dan spent his childhood and most of his adult life residing in Stratford. He was a 1988 graduate of Frank Scott Bunnell High School and a 1992 graduate of the Denver Automotive and Diesel College. Dan was a Union Ironworker for over 30 years and a member of Local 424 since 1995. His craftsmanship began alongside his older brother in the silos of Huntsville, Alabama; he was called to work rebuilding the bridges in south Florida following Hurricane Andrew; in the building of the Centennial Olympic Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia; and throughout much of New England, New York, and Connecticut.

Dan was an outstanding cook and baker who enjoyed sharing his talents with family and friends. He was a collector of sentimental and nostalgic things. He had a passion for good music, trivia, classic cars, and Harley Davidsons. Dan was a fiercely loyal friend, with a generous and huge heart, who left us way too soon.
