Obituary

Christopher R. Neeley Jr., age 89, of Milford, beloved husband of Jennie Regando Neeley, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026. Chris was born in Bridgeport on January 1, 1937, to the late Christopher and Anne (Lantowski) Neeley Sr., and had been a lifelong area resident, He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp., serving in the Korean War. Chris retired from Unifirst Co.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 69 years, include his devoted children, Christopher Neelery III and his wife Marie of Tennessee, Linda Gorel and her husband James of Shelton, and Theresa Alexander of Naugatuck, 8 cherished grandchildren, Michelle (Mitch) Daniels, Christopher Neeley IV, Elizabeth (Justin) Long, James (Sara) Gorel, Jennifer (Kos) Gorel, and Ryan, Laura and Sharon Jalbert, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild, and a niece, Anna Slusarz. In addition to his parents, Chris was pre-deceased by his granddaughter, Melissa, and brothers, John and Kenneth.

The Neeley family would like to thank Chris’ caregivers, Amanda Meckley and his grandson, Ryan for their kind and compassionate care.

Visitation on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Ann’s Church. 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford, Connecticut. Interment with military honors will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
