Christopher J. (Chris) Cowles, age 67, of Stratford, beloved husband of Patricia Card Hartman, passed away suddenly in his home on Monday, March 16, 2015. Chris, a Software Engineer for HSI Helicopter Support, was born in Bristol to the late John Cowles Sr., and Cecelia Skorupski Cowles of Bristol, and has been a long time area resident. He was a graduate Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Chris was an avid golfer and was a member of the Sikorsky Men's Golf League. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife and mother include his daughter, Christine Hartman of Stratford, 2 grandchildren, Mikayla and Alexis, 2 brothers, John Cowles Jr and his wife Theresa of Farmington and Clifford Cowles of CA, a sister, MaryEllen Cowles of Chester, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father he was pre-deceased by his brother Mark. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 19th at 11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
