Charles F. Lahr, age 55, of Stratford, entered into peace on Monday, January 27, 2014. Charlie, an Optician for Pearl Vision, was born in Bridgeport on March 2, 1958, to the late Charles J. and Audrey (Elmy) Lahr, and has been a life long area resident. He was a graduate of Bunnell High School, and attended the Juilliard School of Music. Charlie was a drummer his entire life, on the road and with many local bands, everyone knew him as the drummer who would fix your glasses on his break. He was also the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan anyone ever knew. Survivors include his two children, Nicholas and Sarah Lahr and their mother Camille Lahr, a brother Robert Lahr and Debbie Prusak, a sister Deb Alletzhauser and husband Bill, and 2 nieces Elizabeth and Stephanie all, of Stratford, and his girlfriend Cindy Dickson of East Winsdor. "We will all miss him dearly". Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 31st at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
