Charles J. Gabor Sr., age 90, of Stratford, passed away on February 12, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital.

Charles was born in Bridgeport on January 19, 1931 to the late John and May (Sincak) Gabor and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a proud U. S Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War and was retired from Hartley& Parker Ltd, Stratford. Charles was a member of VFW Post 9460- Stratford and was a military history buff.

Survivors include his devoted sons, Charles J. Gabor Jr. and his wife Carole, and James Gabor and his wife Diane all of Stratford, 6 cherished grandchildren, Alexis Weinstein and her husband Larry, Nicholas Gabor and his wife Natoiya, Erica, Rebecca, and Daniel Gabor, and Amanda Marshall and her husband, TJ, 6 great-grandchildren, Piper, Ella, Logan Charles, Nathan, Jeremy, and Tj, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with full military honors will take place on Wednesday, February 17 ^th at 11:30 a.m. meeting directly at St. John's Cemetery 500 Moose Hill Road, Monroe. Everyone in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home-Stratford.
