Charles A. Sekelsky, age 90, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Jennie Figula Sekelsky, passed away on November 24, 2021, in Bridgeport Hospital. Charles was born in Stratford on August 15, 1931, to the late Frank and Helen (Lesko) Sekelsky and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Stratford High School and was a U. S Airforce veteran of the Korean War. Charles was a retired truck driver for APA Transportation and was a member of Teamsters Union Local #677. He had an outgoing personality and enjoyed playing Pinochle and Cribbage with his family. Charlie was an engineer at heart and loved spending time "tinkering" and could fix just about anything. Survivors include his devoted children, Cathleen Martinez of Stratford, CSM(Ret) Charles "Chuck" Sekelsky and his wife Mary of Colorado, Rick Sekelsky and his wife Cathie of Shelton, and Mark Sekelsky and his wife Karin of Michigan, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a brother Raymond Sekelsky, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Bridgeport hospital for their kindness and caring compassion. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Masks are required, as visitors walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 15th at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at Holy Name of Jesus Church 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford.
