Cecilia Daniel "Cookie" Tammany, age 57 of Ansonia passed away suddenly on Tuesday August 19, 2008 in Griffin Hospital, Derby. Cecilia, a former Certified Nurse's Aid was born in Bridgeport daughter of Cecilia Lutheran Daniel and the late Joseph Daniel and has been a life long area resident. She is survived by her 3 devoted children Roderick Kennedy Jr. and his wife Karen, Melissa Retherford and her husband Danny all of Florida, and Adrianne Elovecky and her fiancé Hector of Ansonia, her mother Cecilia Daniel of Bridgeport, her former husband and friend Edward Tammany of Ansonia, 5 cherished grandchildren Briana San Martin, Tanner and Carol Ann Retherford and Katie and Maxwell Kennedy, 2 sisters Monica Rogers, and Helen Quill and a brother Joseph Daniel all of Milford and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday August 26th at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church Boston Avenue Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Milford. At the family's request calling hours have been omitted.
