Cecele M. Ramik Knebel, age 99, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Carl S. Knebel, passed away on March 27, 2016 in her home. Mrs. Knebel, a retired operator for the University of Bridgeport, was born in Stratford to the late Stefan and Anna (Piorek) Ramik, and had been a life long Stratford resident, prior to moving to Shelton, thirty years ago. She was an avid BINGO player and loved dancing. Survivors include her devoted daughters, Carol Hardy of CA, Judy Dlugos and her husband George of RI, and Kathy Pomianowski and her husband David of Stratford, 6 cherished grandchildren: Dawn Pomianowski, Jeffrey Hardy, Megan Krol, Greg Hardy, Brian Pomianowski, and Beth Tonet. She had four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brendan, Mark, and Ben, and was excitedly expecting her next great-grandson. She is also survived by a sister, Anne Jaroszewski, a brother Dr. Richard Ramik, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters. She enjoyed living at Wesley Heights and during her time there she forged many wonderful friendships with residents and staff. Friends may call on Thursday March 31st from 10 am –12pm in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Funeral services will take place immediately after at 12:30 pm in St. Mark's Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
