Catherine M. Kochiss Samorajczyk, age 95, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 in Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Fairfield. She is survived by her loving son, Joseph and was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Felix. Catherine was born in Bridgeport on July 14, 1922 to the late Michael and Anna (Pjura) Kochiss and has been a life long area resident. She was a wonderful mother to her son, Joseph for whom she devoted all of her heart and soul. After retiring from the City of Bridgeport, Catherine volunteered her time working for the Kennedy Center. In addition to her son, Catherine is survived by a brother-in-law, George M. Bekech of Trumbull and sister-in-law, Mary Kochiss of Orange and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Michael, William and Charles Kochiss and sisters, Helen Gerak, Evelyn Pcolka, Mary Chmielewski and Irene Bekech.   Catherine's family would like to thank the staff at Ludlowe for their care over the past several years and most recently to the VITAS Hospice for her care during this last week. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 15 ^th at 9:00 am in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford and at 11:00 am in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Trumbull with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 – 10:30 am.
