Catherine (Kathleen) Reilly Reichel, age 96, of Wallingford, formerly of Stratford, the widow of John Reichel, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in her home. Mrs. Reichel, a retired secretary for Fairfield University was born in Albany, NY to the late Michael J. and Catherine (Roach) Reilly, and has been a long time area resident. Survivors include her devoted daughters, Maureen Reichel-Slater of Shelton, Kathleen Elim, and her husband Ret. Col. James Bleeker, of VA, and Debbie Huegel and her husband Rev. William Huegel of Wallingford, 9 grandchildren, Stacie Nole and her husband Gregory, Raga Elim Jr. and his wife Lori, Wallace Slater Jr. and Lisa Schmidt, John Slater, Marc Elim and his wife Kirsten, Tamra Elim-Durdin and her husband Chris, Robert Huegel, Renee LaRoche, and Gregory Huegel, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, son-in-law Dr. Raga Elim and his wife Martha of VA, a sister Lillian Greene of Milford, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by her daughter Eileen Reichel, and son-in-law Wallace D. Slater Sr. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 3rd at 11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
