Catherine M. McFarlane (Riona), age 90, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Matthew McFarlane, passed away on January 29, 2023, at Bridgeport Hospital.

Catherine was born in Bridge of Weir, Scotland on December 12, 1932, to the late Robert and Janet (Ronald) Anderson and had been a longtime Stratford resident. Catherine loved visiting the Stratford beaches and made many friends there. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time in her garden, but, not necessarily gardening. Catherine liked to tell stories of her younger life, in Scotland with her 2 sisters and brother, who pre-deceased her.

She was the heart of her family, and will lovingly be remembered by her devoted daughters, Diane Hungerford and her husband, Bruce, and Janet Peura and her husband, Ray Corchard, cherished grandchildren, Connor Peura, Matthew Hungerford, and Brooke Sebastiano and her husband, Matthew, great-granddaughter, Layla and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
