Obituary

Carol Ann (Piroh) Sequin, age 82, of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Albert W. Sequin, passed away on September 6, 2025, at Griffin Hospital. Carol was born in Bridgeport on January 4, 1943, to the late Joseph and Martha (Svihra) Piroh and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of SS. Cyril & Methodius Commercial High School and a retired Medical Records clerk for St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was also a parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Beacon Falls.

Throughout her life and prior to her illness, Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whether it was trips to Maine with her family and later in life visiting her son A.J., or to Europe with her beloved sisters, Pat and Rosie or in Connecticut with her daughter, Patty, son-in-law John and her beloved granddaughters, Kayla and Lia.

Carol loved going to sporting events that her son A.J. participated in, whether baseball or football games, she could be found in the stands cheering him on. So, it was no surprise that she did the same for Kayla and Lia at their dance and cheer competitions and recitals.  Everyone knew and loved Nana!

Carol also had a love for animals and had many beloved pets throughout the years, she also enjoyed going to car shows and watching her husband and son race at the N.E.T.O. drag races.  She was always excited to participate in the local fairs where she won many first-place ribbons for her crafts and delicious canned green tomatoes.   She enjoyed antiquing, going to tag sales and watching all types of sports, especially football and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Carol was a kind, caring and supportive person who spent her life caring for others and putting their needs before her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all of those who knew her.

Survivors include her devoted children, A.J. Sequin of Maine, Patty Mercure and her husband John of Seymour, 2 cherished granddaughters, Kayla and Lia and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Carol was pre-deceased by her son, Francis and her sisters, Patricia Piroh, Rosemarie Abric, Susan Mino, and Barbara Piroh.
