Carol Orechovesky, age 74, of Brownstown, IL, the beloved widow of Robert Orechovesky, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 in Carle Hospital in Champagne, IL. Born in Bridgeport to the late Michael and Edith (Casciello) Butas, Carol was a lifelong area resident, residing in Milford for 49 years before her move to Brownstown. Carol retired from the Black and Decker Company as an accountant in the payroll department. Carol was well loved by not only her family and friends, but her co-workers. She was always the life of the party with her infectious laughter, quick wit, and her uncanny ability to laugh at herself. Carol's first passion was gardening, she was a voracious reader, and always ready to host a poker party. She loved Elvis and took great pride in her collection of Elvis memorabilia that she collected over many years. She always had an open door for stray cats and often became part of her household with her pet cats. Her survivors include her beloved son, Todd Orechovesky, and his wife, Lynett of Brownstown, Il., 3 cherished granddaughters, Sierra, Dakota and Shelby, two devoted sisters, Barbara Engel of Tampa, FL, and Michele Smith and her husband Don of Cheshire, CT. She also has two nieces, Angela Tartaglino (Larry) and Kristen Smith (goddaughter), and a great niece, Kate Michels.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, CT. Interment will take place in St. John's c
Cemetary, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM.
