Carmella G. Colandro (née Carmella Warnero), beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Colandro, passed away on February 25, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones. Carmella was born in Throop, Pennsylvania to Rossario and Carmella (Tabone) Warnero. Carmella also known as " Millie ", was one of the kindest, most caring gentle souls to be placed on this earth. She was truly a beautiful human being that we were blessed to have in our lives. She was all about family. She was a fabulous cook, baker and loving grandmother. Her home and heart were always open and welcoming to all. You could always count on her to make you laugh and smile. Carmella worked as a Manager for Warner's in both Bridgeport and Stratford until her retirement. She had life-long friends and was a member of the Michigan Rummy Card Playing Club for almost 40 years. She was also a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Guild, Altar Society, Ansonia Democratic Committee, Ansonia Welfare Board, Ansonia Grid Iron Club and Ansonia Senior Center. Carmella leaves her children, son, Francis J. Colandro of Boston and Robert A. Colandro and daughter-in-law, Jo-Ann Miller Colandro of Milford; and four grandchildren, whom she adored, Dain, Ian, Allegra and Devin as well as dearly loved nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren will always remember her as the "Sunshine" in their lives. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Inurnment will follow at Mt. St Peter's Cemetery, Derby. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9 – 9:45 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
