Carmela Trombetta Grimalli age 84, of Shelton passed away on Thursday December 24, 2009 in Hewitt Health Center, Shelton. Mrs. Grimalli, the widow of Marcello Grimalli was born in Caserta, Italy to the late Michael and Theresa (Boccagna) Trombetta and has been an area resident since 1973. She was a Private Duty Nurse in Italy and had worked as a seamstress in America. Survivors include her beloved sons Steven Grimalli and his wife Jeannine of Huntington and Patrick Grimalli of Waterbury, she will be sadly missed by her 3 cherished grandchildren, who loved her cooking, Stephen, Julia and Patrick, 2 brothers Dominick and Louis Trombetta, both of Monroe, a sister Emilia Nappi of Italy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was pre-deceased by a sister Rosa Perillo. Funeral services will take place on Monday December 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Rev. John Stronkowski officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Monroe. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of Hewitt Health Center and Masonicare Hospice, for the care given to their mother.
