Calixto Alberto Gonzalez Jr, age 72 of Stratford the beloved husband of Lydia Garcia Gonzalez, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born on October 31, 1948 to the late Carlos Gonzalez and Carida Escobar of Santa Clara, Cuba, he immigrated to the United States in 1980. He lived in both New Jersey and then Florida and was an accomplished baker by trade. After retiring he and his wife along with son, Brian, moved to Stratford in 2015 where he has resided until his recent passing. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 50 years include his sons, Samuel Gonzalez and his wife Claire and Brian Gonzalez, 3 grandsons, Nicholas, Joseph and Jacob Gonzalez, several nieces and nephews.  Due to the current health situation the family has elected to have a private family service. The Adzima Funeral Home-Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
