Obituary

Brittany Taylor Scheibel, age 36, of Stamford, passed away suddenly on February 4, 2020 at Stamford Hospital. Brittany was born in Bridgeport on October 12, 1983, beloved daughter of Ronald W. Scheibel and Heidi Loomis Zibello. She was a 2001 graduate of Wamogo Regional High School and attended Boston University pursuing a journalism degree. Brittany was a high school athlete playing varsity soccer. She always enjoyed pickup sports. Brittany was passionate about art and music and had the good fortune to combine these interests while creating artwork for concerts and music festivals after college. She continued to create art throughout her life, always finding new ways to exercise her creativity. While attending a music festival she met the person who would become her partner in life, James Flynn. James' enthusiasm for the outdoors and nature had a strong influence on Brittany. They spent countless trips and hours camping, hiking, rock hunting, bird watching, kayaking, and beach combing. Brittany was a fast friend who was quick with a laugh and a compliment. She had an infectious energy and enthusiasm. She always took joyful interest in the lives of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her beloved significant other, James Flynn, her cherished parents, Heidi Loomis Zibello of Morris and Ronald W. Scheibel and his wife Carol Gabriele of Shelton, brothers, Garrett Scheibel and wife Caitlin, Jordan Scheibel and wife Emily Guenther, Dylan Scheibel, step-brothers, Asa and Mason deBlois, nieces, Iris and Corrina, and nephew, Oscar, grandmother, Helene Zibello, uncles, Lance Loomis and wife Priscilla, Brett Loomis and wife Debbie, and Ed Scheibel and wife Cynthia, aunts, Barbara O'Brien, and Judith Addis-Scheibel, and many cousins. Friends may visit with Brittany's family on Wednesday February 12 th from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. All other services and interment will be private.
