Bridget (Walsh) Mizera of Stratford passed away on October 2, 2016 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport after a brief but serious illness. She was 90 years of age at the time of her passing and was predeceased by her husband, Casimir. Born near the Village of Feenagh, County Limerick, Ireland, Bridget was the daughter of the late Robert and Bridget (Aherne) Walsh. In her youth she moved to England, where she married, and later immigrated to the United States. She and her husband lived in the area, first in Bridgeport and then in Stratford, where she resided for more than 54years. She was a long-time employee of the Stratford Board of Education. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mizera was predeceased by a brother, James Walsh of Killiney, County Dublin, Ireland. She is survived by another brother, Robert Walsh of Clonmany, County Donegal, Ireland and her six children; Victor of East Haven, Gregory of Pittsburgh, Pa., James of Stratford, Joseph of Stratford, Casimir of Stratford, and Anne Marie of Boonton, N.J. She is also survived by two granddaughters Gabriella and Sofia of Pittsburgh, Pa. Services were private in nature and were arranged by Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
