Bonita Carney Kasper, age 84, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Stephen Kasper, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in Maefair Health Center, Trumbull. Bonita, a U.S. Army (WAC) Veteran of the Korean War was born in Bridgeport to the late Francis and Helen (Mrasco) Carney and has been a life long area resident. She was retired from Manpower Temp Agency, and had worked for many years at General Electric. Bonita was a member of the East End Yacht Club, where she was a former member of the Woman's Council. She was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and enjoyed tag sales, and caring for her beloved dog "Twiggy". Survivors include her sister, Patricia Hines of Stratford, brother, Thomas Carney and his wife Joyce of NC, nieces and nephews, Barbara Lee Meyer, Lynn Preston, Michael Hines (Nancy), Jim Hines (Maureen), Patty Hines, Carol Hackett (Patrick), and Christina Burge (Jon). In addition to her husband and parents, Bonita was pre-deceased by her sister, Barbara Preston and niece, Lorri Preston. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, Mary 2nd at 12 Noon in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe.
