Obituary

Beverly A. (Costanzo) Vancho, age 70, of Stratford, beloved wife of James Vancho for 49 years, passed away on April 30, 2018 in her home. Beverly was born on April 18, 1948 in Bridgeport to the late Joseph and Virginia (Fortunato) Costanzo and has been a life long area resident. She was a graduate of Harding High School and Butler Business School. She met her husband while working as a secretary at AVCO in Stratford and stopped working after she was married to raise her family. Beverly was always there for her children throughout their lives, and imparted in them her values of kindness, devotion, honesty, humor, and unconditional love.   After returning to work for a number of years, Beverly finally retired and began some of the happiest years of her life, which was spent with her four grandchildren. Beverly's face would light up when her grandchildren called or came over to visit, and her grandchildren loved nothing more in the world than spending a day or having a sleepover with grandma. Beverly had unlimited energy and commitment to entertain them with games, movies, shopping for toys, and many other adventures. We can only hope to raise our children and take care of our families the way she took care of us. We will all truly miss her. Beverly also enjoyed spending time with her friends, seeing the latest movies, going to the beach, dancing to the oldies with her husband, and cooking great meals for the family on Sundays and holidays (especially everyone's favorite lasagna). Survivors in addition to her beloved husband, include her devoted children, James Vancho and his wife Lisa of Fairfield, and Catherine Vancho and her husband Charles Lupo of Milford, her cherished grandchildren, Logan, Sophia, Olivia, and Kayleigh, brothers, Richard Costanzo and his wife Janet of Oxford and Joseph Costanzo and his wife Maureen of Milford, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved parents, Beverly was pre-deceased by her brother Ray Costanzo. Funeral services and interment are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home-Stratford.
