Betty Anne Mathis, age 88, of Stratford, beloved wife of Mark Genest, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026.

Betty Anne was born in New Vineyard, Maine on May 16, 1938, to the late Earl and Mary Anne (Hannon) Welsh and had been a longtime area resident. She retired from Dresser Industries.

Survivors in addition to her husband, include her daughters, Robin Jopp and Lisa Wiezerkowski.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
