Bernard J. Molinaro, age 79, of Vandling, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Pennsylvania. Born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania to the late Anthony and Catherine (Cerra) Molinaro, moved to Bridgeport in 1941 and resided there until moving back to Pennsylvania in 1992. Bernard was a veteran of the US Navy and was a retired Iron Worker with local 424 in New Haven. He held 4 U.S. Patents and enjoyed reading, model railroading and gardening, but most of all he is proud of being a member of the Iron Workers Local 424 in New Haven. Bernard is survived by his beloved son Anthony Molinaro and his companion Jill Joyce of Stratford, his former wife of 26 years, Frances Dungleman of Stratford, a brother Angelo Molinaro of Olyphant, PA, a sister Margaret Simmons of Easton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bernard is predeceased by 2 sisters, Rita Danis and Natalie Molinaro. Friends may greet the family on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 9:00 –11:00am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with a prayer service taking place at 11:00am. Interment with Full Military Honors will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull.
