Beatrice Radel McGuire, age 98 of Stratford, the widow of William J. McGuire passed away on Monday September 20, 2010 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center. Mrs. McGuire, a retired floral designer for Dillon's and Hovan's Florist was born in Bridgeport to the late George and Mary (Casserly) Radel and has been a life long area resident. She was a member of St. James Seniors, Baldwin Center, Housatonic Seniors, the Our Lady of Grace Social Club, St. James Ladies Guild, St. Cecelia's Court of the Catholic Daughter's of America # 735 and was a former Red Cross Volunteer. Survivors include her devoted children James V. McGuire and his wife Janis of Stratford, Robert McGuire and his wife Cynthia of Shelton, Mary Ann Testi and her husband Carmen of Stratford and Kathleen Gosart and her husband David of Huntington, 15 grandchildren, Donna Salwocki and her husband Joel, Debra Morrissey and her husband Patrick, Marcy Doherty and her husband Todd, James McGuire and his wife Kim, Dana Faerdy and her husband Travis, Robert McGuire and his wife Karen, David, McGuire, Timothy McGuire, Melissa Convertito and her husband Scott, Kara Golino and her husband Phil, Kristen Campbell and her husband John, Lawrence, Eileen, Diane and Doreen Wilson, 21 Great-grandchildren and 1 niece and 2 nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was pre-deceased by a daughter Nancy Wilson. The McGuire family would like to thank the 2nd floor nurses and staff of Lord Chamberlain HCC for the kind and loving care given to their Mother. Funeral services will take place on Thursday September 23rd at 9:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery Stratford.
