Barbara A. Noble Surina, age 87, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Surina, passed away on December 25, 2017 in Yale New Haven Hospital with her sons at her side. Barbara was born in Bridgeport on March 6, 1930 to the late James and Florence (Angeski) Noble and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Stratford High School, New Haven State Teacher's College, and earned her Masters Degree and Sixth Year Certificate from various local colleges including Sacred Heart University. She was a teacher at Franklin Elementary School in Stratford, retiring after 37 years, touching and guiding many lives. Barbara was a member of the Greater Bridgeport Retired Teacher's Association, where she served on the board, and the Christian Woman's Society of Trumbull. Survivors include her devoted sons, Stephen T. Surina and Thomas J. Surina both of Trumbull, a brother, Raymond Noble and his wife Marybeth of Stratford, a sister, Florence Kavulich of Trumbull, sisters-in-law, Laura Noble of Milford, Joan Noble of Stratford, and Mary Surina of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Thomas J. Surina, and parents, Barbara was pre-deceased by her brothers, Jack and Jim.   Friends may greet her family on Friday, January 5 ^th from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Prayers at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Barbara's memory to St. Vincent's Cardiac Rehab, 2800 Main St Bridgeport, CT 06606 where she spent many a day exercising and spending time with friends.
