Obituary

Barbara Ann Holm Blakeman, age 60, beloved wife of Eugene Blakeman passed away suddenly in her home on Monday, October 9, 2017. Barbara was a resident of Webster Florida; previously a resident of Stratford and Shelton CT. Barbara was born on November 24, 1956 in Newport, RI. She was predeceased by her parents, Carol Sorensen & Vincent L. Curcio, and Richard Holm. She is survived by her three siblings, Cynthia Antonico and her husband Joseph, Rita Curcio, Vincent L. Curcio and his wife Denise, and her cousin, Gus Curcio Jr who was like a brother to her. She is also survived by her nieces: Danielle Troy Holley, Laura Beth Troy, Casey Kudravy, Brittney and Brigitte Curcio, her nephews Michael and Nicholas Antonico and her great niece and nephew, Maya and Owen Holley. Barbara will be deeply missed by her cousins, many known as the Excellent 8. She will also be deeply missed by her babies Buttercup and Tequila.Barbara was a graduate of Bunnell High School. She was an avid reader, loved to cook and craft. She worked as a bail bondsmen for Curcio Bail Bonds but was best known as the Longaberger Basket Lady who had a beautiful smile for everyone. Barbara was also a life member of the City of Hope. Barbara was laid to rest on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Florida National Cemetery. Please join her family for a memorial service on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 5:00 pm at the Stratford United Methodist Church, 2600 Main Street Stratford, CT.
