Avis Ann Kapitancek, age 72, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Richard Kapitancek passed away on October 19, 2023. Avis was born in Bridgeport on May 22, 1951, to the late Frank and Avis (Dalton) Autore and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Trumbull High School and Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School. Avis was a retired operations manager for the Teamsters Union. Survivors include her devoted daughters, Cari Kapitancek and Tonya DeFeo and her husband Robert, cherished granddaughter, Kara D'Amico, brother, Frank Autore Jr. and his wife Janice, sister, Lynn Ocentik and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 4-7 PM  in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, CT.  Interment will be private.
