We are sad to announce the passing of Audrey T. (Sinclair) Galpin, 84, of Upper Black Eddy, PA, beloved wife of Arthur F. Galpin, Jr. She passed away peacefully on October 3, 2023. Born July 23, 1939 in Bridgeport, CT daughter of John and Ruth (Abbott) Sinclair.
Previously deceased are her parents John and Ruth Sinclair, infant daughter: Alisa J. Galpin, Sister Barbara Sinclair Ross, Cousin James Sinclair, Niece Sarah Gourley Ross, Maggie Wajda Ross and Nephew Geoffrey Ross.
In addition to her beloved husband, survivors include her children, Arthur F. Galpin, III (wife Sandra) of Tampa, FL, Arnold T. Galpin (wife Shelly) of Morganton, PA, April R. Grabowski(deceased husband Randy) of Monroe, CT, 8 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Great Grandchildren, Cousin Tom (wife Gail) Sinclair, 1 Niece.
After graduating from The University School, a private high school in Fairfield, CT she worked in the central supply room at Bridgeport Hospital for 4 years until starting a family. Audrey was a devoted housewife and mother; she enjoyed crafting and bowling at Thunderbird Bowling/Team Emeralds in Hatboro, PA and is best known for her Forgotten Cookies which was published in the Gooseberry Patch, Christmas In The Country cookbook in 2007.
Services will be held at Union Cemetery, 23 Temple Court, Stratford on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American School of the Deaf, 139 North Main Street, West Hartford, CT 06107 and/or Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon St. Watertown, MA 02472 can be made in Audrey's name.
