Arnold B. McNamara Jr. (affectionately known as Butch), age 77, of Shelton, beloved husband of Kristin Gabriel McNamara, passed away on January 13, 2022, at St. Vincent's Medical Center.

Arnold was born in Milford on January 21, 1944, to the late Arnold and Lillian (Worroll) McNamara and had been a lifelong area resident. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was pre-deceased by Joan McNamara, his brother William McNamara of Milford, and sister Patricia Deichmann of Branford.

He was a lifelong member of Harbor Valley Yacht Club in Shelton, CT as well as a member of Valley Yacht Club in Milford, CT and he loved spending time on his boat with his beloved yorkie, Kelley. After retiring from Ditullio Precast in 2007, Butch was employed as a driver for Carter Mario Law Firm of Milford.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 4 years include his children, Mary (Paul) Liscinsky of Sandy Hook CT, Shawn (Gina) McNamara of Monongahela PA, Dennis (Pauline) McNamara of Milford CT as well as his grandchildren, Joshua (Olivia) Liscinsky, Meagan Liscinsky, Ellie McNamara, Jake McNamara, Rylee McNamara. In addition, he is survived by his step-children and grand step-children, William (Barb) Gabriel and their daughter Kinsley, Donnie Hancock and his children Stephanie and Christopher, Barbie Dillon and her children Michael, Jordan, Jesse, Lexie, Lindsay and Leslie, as well as his brother Edwin McNamara of Oklahoma, Lorraine Cuthbertson of Florida (who passed on later the same day) and sister-in-law Sharon McNamara of Milford, CT.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home in Stratford.
