Antonio Cimmino, age 87, of Shelton, beloved husband of Luigia Nuzzo Cimmino, passed away on February 4, 2018 in Lord Chamberlain Health Center, Stratford. Antonio a retired machinist for Bridgeport Machines was born on November 17, 1930 in Santa Maria a Vico, in the Province of Caserta, Italy to the late Andrew and Carmela (Diglio) Cimmino and has been a long time area resident. Antonio had the natural ability to understand and figure out how something worked and fix it. He enjoyed making homemade wine and gardening, but most of all will be remembered for his love of family. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 62 years, include his devoted sons, Andrew Cimmino and his wife Evelyn, and Mario Cimmino and his wife Roya, his cherished grandson, Jay Cimmino all of Shelton, 2 sisters, Vincenza Delucia of Trumbull, and Sister Andreina Cimmino of Rome, Italy, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Antonio was pre-deceased by his brother, Albert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 8 ^th at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa Church 5301 Main St Trumbull. Interment will be in Long Hill Burial Ground, Trumbull. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
