Obituary

Antoinette Deaso Kelleher age 90 of Pinecrest, Florida formerly of Stratford passed away on Wednesday October 15, 2008 in Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. Mrs. Kelleher, a retired Administrative Assistant for Remington Arms was born in Stratford daughter of the late Anthony and Concetta (Castanzo) Deaso and had been a long time Stratford resident before retiring to Florida with her husband Ken in the 1980's. She was a graduate of Harding High School and Lifetime member of the Connecticut Skeet Hall of Fame and won the following championships while being coached by her late husband: 1977 Ladies World Skeet Champion in 4 divisions, a two time member of the All American Team, in 1990 she won the John T. Brainard Award for skeet, and won numerous women's titles in Connecticut and Florida and in 1985 won her last major championship in the Everglades Open in Florida after undergoing a heart operation and receiving a pace maker. She was the widow of Myron Kenneth Kelleher, and is survived by her beloved children Kevin Kelleher and his wife Lucille of Monroe, Karen Zak and her husband Robert of Cape Cod and Susan McDonald and her husband James of Florida, 8 cherished grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, a brother Anthony Deaso, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may greet her family on Monday October 20th from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Officiated by Monsignor Lawrence Mc Mahon. Inurnment will be in Lawncroft Cemetery Fairfield.
