Anthony Frank Vuozzo beloved husband of Marilyn Vuozzo, passed away August 8, 2008 at his home with his loving family at his side. Born in New York, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Vuozzo. Anthony is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his two sisters Constance Mrowzinski of Red Hook, New York and Joan Michelini of Monroe Township, New Jersey, two stepsons Matthew Myers of Milford, CT and Douglas Myers and his wife Amy of Monroe, CT, two granddaughters Ashley and Mackenzie Myers as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was the founder and President of AMC Technology, Inc., an environmental consulting firm that was a successful Stratford based company for 20 years. He was involved in many community affairs serving on the BEST Committee-a business liaison committee working with the schools to promote educational achievement. Anthony was a longstanding member of the Stratford Chamber of Commerce, serving as past president on the board of directors as well as its executive committee for many years. He also served as a councilman in the 9th district for three terms. He had many interests-good wine and food-was one of them; he was a past chairman of the local AIWF (American Institute of Wine & Food). Despite his very active lifestyle, he always made time to spend with his family and friends whom he loved and would help whenever asked. The grandchildren have brightened his spirits through his many illnesses and he will be sorely missed by Ashley and Mackenzie. Friends may call from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, August 11 at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30am on Tuesday, August 12 for a Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation, Inc. or Sterling House Community Center in Stratford.
