Anthony F. Pinto, age 85, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Joyce Jacobson Pinto, passed away on December 7, 2016 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Anthony, a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War was born in Bridgeport to the late Francesco and Maria (Coscia) Pinto and has been a life long area resident. He was a graduate of Harding High School and received a BS from the University of Bridgeport. Anthony was a retired Microbiologist for Fairfield Medical Lab, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Survivors include his devoted children, Francis Pinto and his wife Kimberley Ray of Stratford, Leslye Mitchell and her husband Richard of Ansonia, and Marie Bach of Middleboro, MA, seven cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Elizabeth and Nicholas Pinto, and Richard Jr, Katherine and Michael Mitchell, two adored great-grandchildren, Kailey and Zoey Mitchell, a brother, Fortunato Pinto of Newton, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Anthony was pre-deceased by his beloved son, Mark. Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 12th at 9:45 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church 298 Second Hill Lane Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev.
