Anthony J Daddio, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away May 30th 2009 at Saint Vincent's hospital in Bridgeport CT after a short illness. Born on March 1st 1914 in Harriman New York, son of Thomas and Silvia Daddio, Anthony grew up in Astoria Queens before moving to Connecticut in the 1940s. Anthony was a devoted family man, longtime philanthropist, and accomplished professional who worked 44 years at Clairol in Stamford CT. After his retirement in 1979, Anthony spent the next 30 years in Florida, the last 23 years enjoying his life at Oak Run in Ocala, Florida and the last 13 years splitting his time between Ocala and St Herbert, Quebec. Some of his favorite activities included reading, shooting pool, swimming and following his favorite teams, the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He was predeceased by his first wife Frances in 1976 and his second wife Flora in 1994. He is survived by his beloved wife Regina, his son and daughter in law Brian and Sylvia Daddio of Brunswick, ME and their children Scott and Susan and his daughter Janice Daddio Seawright and her two children Anthony and Nicole of Stratford, CT. Friends may call on Wednesday June 3, 2009 at the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Pl Stratford, CT from 5-6pm for the rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church 500 wigwam Lane, Stratford CT. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. At the age of 6 Tony was a recipient of the Fresh Air Fund being sent upstate NY for two weeks of time on a dairy farm. He carried the fond memories of that trip with him all of his life.
