Linda Grace Borger, 45, of Stratford died suddenly in a house fire on Saturday, August 8, 2009. Linda attended Bunell High School and was employed at Companions and Homemakers in the Stratford area. She took her job seriously and cared very much for her client. Linda would always call her on weekends when she wasn't working to see how she was and if she needed anything. Linda planted flowers for her client which made her quite happy.Linda was a surrogate mother to many of the neighborhood children who addressed her as Auntie Linda or Miss Linda. Her home was always filled with boys and girls of all ages. They all felt welcome to come and unburden their problems, share a happy event or just hang out and talk with her and her children. Linda will be missed by many and leaves behind a big hole in countless hearts. Linda was predeceased by her father, Carl Borger. Her son Anthony died in the same fire that took her life. Survivors include her mother Barbara Borger (and partner Robert DiCicco) of Stratford, her daughters Ariana and Allanah, brothers William (and wife Melony) of Azle, Texas, Robert of Springtown, Texas, sisters Eileen Beck (and husband Rick) of New Milford and Beth Kuhn (and partner Frank Bogdanyi) of Monroe.She also leaves behind her Aunt Ellen Pinn of Milford and cousins Cathryn Perretti of St Augustine, FL and James Bond of Tampa, Fl. She was predeceased by her uncle Joseph Francovich of CA and Aunt Carole Mingolello of Bridgeport, CT.

BORGER -Anthony Lyle Borger, 17, of Stratford died suddenly in a house fire on Saturday, August 8, 2009. Anthony would have been a senior at Stratford High School this September. He was a member of the freshman Red Devils football team. He was a great kid who was loved by many adults, teens and children alike. He had an extremely close friendship with Kelly McPadden, Josie Ramos and Joshua Santos and they were together all the time.Anthony is survived by his father, Anthony Jones of Pittsburg, PA, and sisters Ariana and Allanah. His mother Linda died in the same fire that took his life. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Barbara Borger of Stratford, CT. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Carl Borger of Stratford and his paternal grand parents Robert and Sally Jones of Bridgeport, and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins of both his fathers and mothers families. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 12 noon in Adzima Funeral Home Inc, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, CT 06614. Friends may call from 10:30 A.M. to 12 P.M. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with the cost of the funeral services. Donations can be made to the Borger Memorial Fund at the Peoples Bank (located next to the Stratford Fire Department). Any monies remaining will be put in a trust fund for Ariana and Allanah.
