Anne Lucas Kruitbosch, of Stratford, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 17th in her home of over 50 years. Born on New Year's Day 1920, Anne grew up on the East Side of Bridgeport before moving with her family to Stratford as a teenager. She remained a Stratford resident for the rest of her life. After attending St. John's Commercial High School, Anne did office work at several manufacturers in Bridgeport. She soon found a long-term place at Remington Arms, where she made many friends and worked until her marriage. After marrying Harold Kruitbosch she devoted herself to home and family. Anne was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Agnes Lucas, her husband Harold, her beloved brother Andrew Lucas, his wife Angie Lucas and several cousins including Mary Ann Skreczko, Mary Bradley and Irene Torony. She is survived by her son Harold Kruitbosch Jr., her daughter-in-law Debra Kruitbosch, her grandson Scott Kruitbosch and Debra's sister Laurie Birdsey. The family wishes to thank everyone at Comfort Keepers in Shelton (above all Shirley, Keziah and Sharon); Stratford Visiting Nurse Association; Connecticut Hospice and Connecticut's Agency on Aging. All helped so much to keep Anne in her own home until the end of her life. Special thanks go to Dr. Charles Kochan, whose help as both physician and friend has been invaluable. In accordance with Anne's wishes, there will be no calling hours and burial will be private, at the convenience of her family.
